
UNSW/Tongji Dual Degree in Architecture students took part in the 2015 International Tongji Construction Festival earlier this month.
The competition required students to construct a structure made of corrugated cardboard able to provide shelter for all members of the team to sleep in overnight.
Eight first year UNSW/Tongji Dual Degree in Architecture students spent six days creating their corrugated cardboard construction for which they recieved a commendation.
Throughout the competition, a total of 60 shelters were built by student groups from throughout China, including participants from eight international schools.
Held in college square of College of Architecture and Urban Planning Tongji University, the participants were led by UNSW Built Environment lecturer Dr John Gamble.
