Published on the 12 Aug 2015
Professor Jane McAdam, Kaldor Centre Director, is featured in the latest video in a series by UNSWTV called 'Catastrophic Science'. The series showcases cutting edge UNSW research projects resulting from catastrophes such as fires, tsunamis, terrorism, climate change and infectious diseases.
With climate change set to force millions of people from their homes due to more frequent extreme weather events and rising sea levels, Dr Johannes Luetz and Professor McAdam speak about the impact on communities and how forward planning and community education are important in addressing the ‘protection gaps’ prevalent at the international level.
