International business magazine Forbes has listed AGSM @ UNSW Business School as the leading full-time MBA in Australia, and number 11 worldwide among non-US programs in its prestigious biennial rankings*.
The AGSM MBA was the only Australian program to make the list of the world’s top MBA programs.
The Forbes ranking measures the financial return on investment gained by completing an MBA. Forbes surveyed 17,400 alumni at 95 MBA programs around the globe this year from the Class of 2010 and arrived at the ranking by comparing their earnings in the five years since they graduated to determine their five-year salary gain, allowing for tuition fees and foregone salary, to calculate return on investment.
Professor Julie Cogin, Director of AGSM, said: “This result is very encouraging and shows that despite the competitive market in which we operate, the reputation and relevance of our program remains very strong internationally.”
AGSM MBA graduates had an average pre-MBA salary of US$59,000. Five years after graduation their average salary was US$139,000. Graduates needed only 2.4 years to break even on their investment after taking into account tuition fees and foregone salary.
