SBE16 Sydney is part of the Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) Conference Series focused on developing High- Performance Built Environments. The SBE Conference Series has grown into an important and significant global event with the aim to bring research and industry together to share research innovation and to provide excellent opportunities for international exposure.

The principal objective of SBE16 Sydney is to drive innovation in design, planning and management of high-performance built environments, as well as promote education and collaboration in the field. The conference is organised by the Faculty of Built Environment, UNSW Australia and Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Low Carbon Living, Australia.

High-Performance Built Environments aim to reduce the environmental impact of built environments, to improve public health, and to create more resilient buildings and cities. High-Performance Built Environments are concerned not only with building design and urban planning, but also tackle challenges relating to health, comfort and well-being of people in buildings and cities.

The conference is a full-paper peer-reviewed conference and accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings under an ISBN number.
