An article by Professor James Franklin has featured in a Princeton University Press compilation of exceptional mathematics writing in 2015.

Professor Franklin's 13-page article, Global and Local, is one of just 30 pieces selected for publication in the University's annual issue, The Best Writing on Mathematics, which aims to compile "the year’s finest mathematics writing from around the world".

The anthology spotlights work canvassing the history, philosophy, teaching, and everyday occurrences of maths, plus it explores topical mathematical debates.

The collection of works, each chosen by Mircea Pitici who has edited the publication since 2010, has been widely acclaimed for its breadth of mathematical topics and scope of fascinating research.
