Last week we hosted Gilbert Strang, who is a Professor of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

During his visit Professor Strang delivered two different seminars, as part of the Learning and Teaching seminar series and the Computational Mathematics series respectively.

His Learning and Teaching seminar, "Personal experiences in teaching linear algebra, and teaching online" last Thursday 14 January drew over 60 attendees; no small feat considering the semi-dormant state of the university during the summer months!

Thank you to Shev MacNamara for facilitating Professor Strang's visit. We look forward to Professor Strang's next visit to UNSW.
