UNSW Business School student Brent Bennett has won the Pearson Student of the Year Awards in the Management, Marketing, Decision Science and Business Law category.

Brent Bennett is studying a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in International Business at UNSW Australia.

“I’m studying a Bachelor of Commerce, with an international business major, because it enables me to learn about different cultures, but also how a diverse range of people can come together to achieve a common goal and share that value together,” he said. “I think the biggest part for me about international business will be my ultimate ability to learn from other people.”

The prestigious award attracts a large number of applications nation-wide and the winner is selected by a panel of academics and industry thought-leaders.  Brent was nominated by UNSW Business School Lecturer and AGSM Fellow Ricardo Flores.

The Pearson Student of the Year Awards aim to recognise students who have demonstrated outstanding effort, dedication and academic achievement in their chosen field of study.

Students must be nominated by an academic from their course, and are required to submit a short video presentation.

The winner of each category is determined by a panel of subject matter experts and will receive a $1,000 award.
