AGSM @ UNSW Business School’s world-class MBA experience will be further augmented in 2017, with Professors Robert Joss and Fred Hilmer joining forces to deliver a two-day intensive as part of the Foundations of Managerial Skills course.

“Both leaders will bring decades of top-tier leadership experience in business and academia into the classroom” says Director, AGSM and Deputy Dean, UNSW Business School, Professor Julie Cogin, “with Professor Joss having served as Westpac CEO and Dean of Stanford Business, and Professor Hilmer serving as Fairfax CEO and Vice-Chancellor and President of UNSW, among their many other impressive achievements.”

Foundations of Managerial Skills is a two-week core course in the first session of the full-time MBA, providing an overview of the role of a successful general manager.  Students develop their team skills, leadership capability, communication skills, and managerial effectiveness, with  a specific focus on business ethics and the role it plays in equipping managers for business success.

“Access to the insights of leaders of this calibre is an integral and exciting part of what makes our MBA experience unique,” says MBA Program Director Professor Clinton Free. “I’m thrilled that we can offer this level of access to such accomplished leaders to our program participants in 2017.”
