Yesterday we hosted the third annual Postgraduate Conference at UNSW. The full-day event, which took place in Colombo Theatres, showcased the dynamic research emerging from our research student cohort.

The day was comprised of 16 talks, six lengthier plenary sessions, and a lunchtime research poster viewing which was followed by several 60-second "lightning" talks by the poster's authors. All talks and posters were assessed by a panel of judges.

The conference drew around 80 attendees throughout the day, including School staff and students.

The proceedings culminated in a prize-giving for the standout students of the day (winners listed below). Attendees then made the short trip over to the Whitehouse to enjoy a post-conference celebration.

A big congratulations to David Warton for initiating another successful event, and for the fantastic efforts of this year's organising team: Catheryn Gray, Galina Levitina, and Huan Lin.
