Peter Aggleton gave the opening keynote address at the 2016 Sexuality and Social Work Conference in Olten, Switzerland.

Stressing how sex and sexuality have changed over the years and the how this in turn has affected research and understanding, his presentation looked at the changing meanings of sexual relationships and their implications for social welfare and social work practice.

Organised by the International Sexuality and Social Work Interest Group, the conference - entitled Transgressing Boundaries and the Intersection of Sexualities in Social Work - brought together over 300 researchers and practitioners from over 50 countries.
