Accounting professor appointed editor of prestigious journal

​​Professor Roger Simnett from UNSW Business School (Accounting) has been appointed Editor at The Accounting Review. One of the world’s leading accounting journals, the periodical is also seen as the lead academic journal of the American Accounting Association (AAA).

The AAA was founded in the 1916 and is the largest community of accountants in academia. Professor Simnett will succeed the current serving Senior Editor, Mark L. Defond, University of Southern California at the beginning of June 2017.

Professor Simnett who is a Scientia Professor and Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia is recognised as a leading international auditing researcher whose interests cover a arrange of auditing/assurance issues, aimed at improving audit/assurance quality and making policy recommendations.
