Peter’s award is for “Best Lecturer”, as voted by students. Head of School Professor Bruce Henry said that the award is "a wonderful recognition of Peter's outstanding teaching".

This isn’t the first time that Peter has been awarded for excellence in teaching. Peter, who has been with the School since 1990, received the Vice Chancellor's Teaching Excellence Award in 2009.

Martin’s award is for “Excellence in Research Quality”, in recognition for his hard work in supporting researchers throughout the Faculty of Science, providing advice and support of multiple research systems such as the Katana HPC cluster and the CCRC storage and computer systems.

In congratulating Martin, Professor Henry said "We rely very greatly on Martin, and other members of our IT Team, for their support in research, teaching and service".

A very big congratulations to both Peter and Martin for their well-deserved Staff Excellence Awards.
