
The Fifth Annual Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Mathematical Physics (ANZAMP) was hosted by the UNSW School of Mathematics and Statistics at The Pavilion, Kiama, from 1-3 February, 2017.
ANZAMP is a relatively new division of AustMS, representing mathematical physics research interests.
Featured keynote speakers included: Luis Fernando Alday, University of Oxford; Bernd Krauskopf, University of Auckland; Eric Ragoucy, LAPTh - CRNS; Tomohiro Sasamoto, Tokyo Institute of Technology; and Susan Scott, Australian National University.
Local organisers were School members Jonathan Kress and Joshua Capel. Deputy Head of School, Professor John Roberts, said of the meeting: "[The organisers] did a superb job of ensuring the scientific standard and mix of topics was great, as was the location, catering and ambience. I think everyone had a great time".
Congratulations to the organisers for a successful meeting! The next annual meeting will be held in 2018 in Auckland.
