Applications are now open for the Professor Wanbil Lee Prize for ethical leaders in business. All current AGSM students and graduates working in a managerial role who demonstrate entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership and business ethics in the workplace are strongly encouraged to apply. The prize was established by Professor Wanbil Lee to recognise business leaders who resolve business challenges ethically and in doing so inspire others to act in accordance.

“Ethical leadership is about encouraging people to make choices with integrity and demonstrating to them the benefits of ethical behaviour,” says 2016 prize winner Simone Herbert-Lowe.

“Leaders are more likely to make a good decision that will be implemented effectively by consulting with others and respecting their input. If a leader creates a framework where those considerations are visible–honesty, integrity, respect and transparency will be evident and these things indicate a focus on the ethical.”

Applicants can be based anywhere in the world. Winners will receive a $1000 cash prize and will be profiled across the UNSW Business School website and social media channels, in the AGSM alumni Edge newsletter, and be recognised at the UNSW Business School annual awards ceremony on 7 June 2017.

“I encourage all AGSM students and graduates who are making a difference for the community through their work to consider applying for the Professor Wanbil Lee Prize.”

Applications close 30 April 2017. Apply online now.
