Fedor Sukochev
We are thrilled to announce that Professor Fedor Sukochev has been awarded an ARC Laureate Fellowship.

The ARC Laureate Fellowship scheme recognises and hopes to attract outstanding researchers, supporting ground-breaking internationally competitive research.

Up to 17 awards are presented nationally each year, covering all discipline areas. Professor Sukochev received one of only two awarded to UNSW.

Professor Sukochev joins Scientia Professor Trevor McDougall as one of two Laureate Fellows in the School of Mathematics and Statistics.

In congratulating Prof Sukochev's "exceptional efforts", Head of School Professor Bruce Henry said, "we can rightly be extremely proud of our School, as the leading School for mathematics education and research nationally, and with a growing profile among the top 100 internationally".

Dean of Science Professor Emma Johnston also congratulated Fedor on his "outstanding achievement" and his "contributions to the School of Maths and Stats and the Faculty of Science".
