PG Conference
Last Wednesday 7 June, we held our fourth annual Postgraduate Conference. The full-day event, hosted in Colombo Theatres, exhibited the breadth of research that our research student cohort is currently working on.

The day included 27 talks, four lengthier plenary sessions, and a lunchtime research poster viewing which preceded five 60-second "lightning" talks by the poster's creators. Talks and posters were assessed by a panel of judges.

The conference attracted around 85 attendees throughout the day, with many supervisors coming along to support their students. PG Conference

A prize-giving ceremony closed the conference, with Prof John Roberts presenting awards to the winners. Alec Gilbert won most outstanding talk for Applied Mathematics for the second year in a row. See below for the list of winners.

The day culminated in a well-deserved after-party at the UNSW Greenhouse.

A big congratulations to Prof David Warton, who spearheaded and coordinates the annual event. Thank you to his team of organisers for arranging such a successful and well-organised event: Alec Gilbert, Yi-Lung Chen, and Juan Ignacio Ortega Piwonka.
