Returning by popular demand for the fourth year, TedxYouth@Sydney 2017 (6 September at Sydney's Town Hall) is sure to surprise and inspire.
Made by young people for young people - but with the eyes and ears of the world in mind - TEDxYouth@Sydney is a platform for ideas worth spreading designed for young change-makers, thinkers, innovators, activists, and entrepreneurs between the ages of 16 and 26.
As an attendee, you’ll get the chance to witness, first-hand, the unique TED-style combination of transformative talks delivered in a vibrant and passionate community atmosphere. You’ll also watch a stellar live program featuring some of the country’s finest creative practitioners, along with a hand-picked selection of new Australian short films, created especially for TEDxSydney.
Among the line-up of speakers addressing issues as diverse as art, business, politics (all with a focus on youth), is UNSW Art & Design graduate, Louise Zhang. Louise is a Sydney-based artist with a practice spanning painting, sculpture, and installation. Her particular area of interest is the delineation between things that attract and repel human-beings. Horror cinema and body horror feature prominently in Louise’s work, providing fertile ground for visceral and symbolic exploration.
The full line-up of TEDx Youth speakers will be made available shortly. Book tickets here.
