We are thrilled to announce that Dr Daniel Mansfield has been selected as the 2017 recipient of the KPMG Inspiring Teacher Award in a First Year Undergraduate Program.

The KPMG Inspiring Teacher Award is an industry sponsored initiative organised by the UNSW Office of Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), and gives students the opportunity to name their most inspiring teacher encountered during their first year in an undergraduate program at UNSW.

Dr Mansfield received the greatest number of nominations from students for this inaugural award, as the most inspiring teacher across all of First Year teaching at UNSW.

"There are many inspiring teachers at UNSW, and I am honoured that the students consider me to be one of them", Dr Mansfield said. "I'd like to thank Jonathan Kress for his support, and Norman Wildberger for his mentorship over the years. Peter Brown deserves special thanks for serving as my own inspirational teacher".

This isn't the first time that Daniel has been recognised for excellence in teaching. He was presented with a Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence for an "Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning" in 2015.

A very big congratulations to Dr Daniel Mansfield!
