Synergies Between Entrepreneurs, Corporates and Universities are to be discussed in the "Fresh Ideas for Australian Innovation" Conference.

Industry professionals and academics with passion for innovation and entrepreneurism promote the evolution of Australian business.

Professor Chris Jackson, who is hosting the conference, says "the conference brings together industry professionals, government and academics with passion for innovation and entrepreneurism as we bridge knowledge gaps, strive for excellence in practice and research and promote the evolution of Australian business."

He suggests it will be a fascinating day, looking at what needs to be done to create the capabilities, design and the mental agility Australia needs for the future. "Our aim is to introduce fresh ideas into Australian innovation by highlighting and developing synergies between entrepreneurs, corporates and universities," he adds.

Speakers include:

Jost Stollmann is a German-Australian business man and previously CEO of Tyro Payments. He is one of Australia's most famous entrepreneurs.

Professor Leisa Sargent is Senior Deputy Dean of the UNSW Business School and has held positions at the University of Melbourne, Cornell University, US and Queensland University of Technology. .

Dianne Welsh is the Hayes Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and Founding Director of the Entrepreneurship Programs at The University of North Carolina Greensboro. Dianne is a recognized scholar in family business, international entrepreneurship & women-owned businesses.
