Zdravko Botev wins the 2018 Christopher Heyde Medal

ARC DECRA Fellow Zdravko Botev has just been awarded an Australian Academy of Science medal, the prestigious 2018 Christopher Heyde Medal.
Zdravko was awarded this medal for his ground-breaking research into new methodologies for understanding the probabilities underlying high-cost, hard-to-predict events, for instance in communication and computer network design, digital watermarking, and safety assessment of debris collision in space.
