This year, Catherine Hu will represent Business School students on the Faculty Board. The Board meets bi-monthly to advise the Dean, Chris Styles, on matters related to the School's academic performance. Catherine's presence ensures that the student voice is heard.

There's a good chance you've already met Catherine. Not only has she been around UNSW for a while (she's in her 4th year of Commerce / Law), last year Catherine was co-president of UNSW Business Society, the largest UNSW student society.

You may also recognise her from her welcome speech to first year students, or from the prestigious Copenhagen Business School Case competition (her team won). She's part of the UNSW Consulting Club and has previously been in the Economic Society.

Catherine is well-informed on internships, having completed 9 weeks with EY's Tax Advisory department. In her downtime, Catherine enjoys painting, travelling, martial arts, and appearing in videos for (click the image above to see her racing to class).

"My motivations lie in ensuring that student opinions are actively represented in discussions relating to change in the business school, or to the wider business community," she said.

Students are encouraged to raise matters of interest with Catherine via the student representative email.
