Cheryl Praeger
Our 2018 UNSW Women in Mathematics and Statistics Ambassador Professor Cheryl Praeger delivered a public lecture to over 100 people at UNSW yesterday afternoon.

Professor Praeger, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at the University of Western Australia, spoke about the special place for women in mathematics and the changing face of maths in the digital era during her talk, "Maths as a Superpower".

Earlier this week, Professor Praeger delighted high school students at our annual Girls Do the Maths workshop with an inspiring talk about the power of mathematics. She also gave an informal presentation about her career trajectory to our staff during our Women in Mathematics and Statistics lunch yesterday.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting Professor Praeger, and we keenly look forward to her next visit to UNSW!
