Last Friday, we held a PhD information session in the School: "Becoming a PhD student: What does it take?"

Around 35 students attended the seminar, which aimed to provide some guidance with the application process for PhD positions in Australia and overseas.

Our former Honours student Peter Bradshaw, now undertaking a PhD at the University of Bristol, presented on his experiences of applying for PhD positions overseas, and provided tips and insights into the process.

Professor David Warton gave a general overview of undertaking a PhD.

He covered information such as how to decide where to enrol, research projects, supervisor selection, the application process, and scholarships.
