Staff Promotions: Yanan Fan & David Harvey

The School of Mathematics and Statistics is delighted to announce the following staff promotions, effective 1 January 2019:
Promotion to Associate Professor:
Yanan Fan
Yanan, who joined UNSW in 2003, is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. For many years she has helped lead our School's efforts with our growing Girls Do the Maths program. She is also an Associate Investigator with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Mathematical and Statistical Frontiers.
David Harvey
David is a Senior Lecturer and Future Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. He joined UNSW in July 2011, and was awarded a prestigious ARC DECRA that same year. He received the Journal of Complexity Best Paper Award for 2016.
Announcing the promotions to the School, Professor Bruce Henry said: "This promotion recognises [Yanan and David's] outstanding achievements in research, teaching, engagement and leadership".
