A round-up of the latest UNSW Built Environment news from the Dean, Helen Lochhead. Monday, October 22, 2018
Last week we celebrated the opening of the Luminocity exhibition in UNSW library. A first for BE and hopefully the first of many collaborations with the library. Luminocity showcased inspiring works from BE architecture and design disciplines. This was followed by our Utzon lecture presented by esteemed Spanish architect and designer of the MPavilion Carme Pinós who delivered a compelling lecture on her recent urban projects. Finishing with a celebration of Joern Utzon's 100th anniversary - an Exhibition and new film about his life and work was on at the Sydney Opera House. This was followed by fascinating lectures presented by Danish architects Praksis and Johansen Skovsten to 50 BE architecture students in our newly opened gallery. They spoke on their works and inspirations from Joern Utzon. Courtesy of the Utzon Center.
Until the next edition,
All the best
Helen
