The AGSM MBAX has once again been named in the world's top online MBA programs.

AGSM ranked 9th in the Financial Times (FT) 2019 Online MBA Rankings released today. For the first time since they were introduced, the FT has ranked only the top 10 programs in the world.

"MBAX is the first program of its kind in Australia and we are the only school outside of the US and Europe to feature in these rankings – a testament to the veracity of our program and the high-calibre candidates we attract," said Professor Nick Wailes, AGSM Director and Deputy Dean, UNSW Business School.

AGSM had the second highest percentage of female students (43%) enrolled in the programme at the end of 2018.

"We make deliberate choices about our programs and the MBAX is no exception," said Wailes. "We created an online MBA learning experience that is innovative, experiential and immersive to attract a cohort that embraces diversity of gender, experience and thought," said Wailes.

"The flexible delivery and capacity to specialise in technology, social impact, change or finance make the MBAX an attractive option for contemporary leaders looking to make a positive impact in an accelerating world. Demand for the program is high. Enrolments for the MBAX grew more than 20% year on year in the first term of 2019."

"We designed our curriculum to ensure AGSM programs equip the next generation of leaders with the skills and confidence required to keep pace with progress," said Wailes. "In addition to the foundational courses such as strategy, finance and marketing, an MBA program should include contemporary elective courses including innovation, intrapreneurship, data analytics, technology, and social impact.

AGSM ranked in the top five on several important key metrics, including value for money (calculated according to alumni salaries, scholarships, fees and other costs as reported by graduates), and international mobility (calculated according to whether alumni's citizenship and work locations pre-MBA, on graduation and three years on from graduation).
