On 27 May, UNSW Centre for Transformational Environmental Technologies (CTET) , UNSW Sydney's first overseas research centre, hosted the first stop of 2019 UNSW Torch Innovation Precinct Research Roadshow in Yixing, Chia. During this half-day roadshow, a delegation of 12 UNSW researchers met with enterprises, technology transfer platforms and investment institutions from a wide range of fields including health and biotechnology, environment, energy, materials and manufacturing, big data and analysis, imaging and AR/VR.
This inaugural Torch Research Roadshow is designed to drive partnership between UNSW research teams and Chinese businesses and industries with the capital and market access needed to translate research breakthroughs into high-impact new products, processes and services.
CTET, operated through the Torch Innovation Program, is one of the prime platforms for demonstration, development and commercialisation of UNSW innovative environmental technologies across the whole of China. By hosting Torch Research Roadshow, CTET showcased its leading advantage as a knowledge exchange hub across oceans and reiterated its commitment to explore ways working together with industrial partners on research and innovation projects across a range of disciplines and shared challenges.
