Last Friday we held a postgraduate research studies info session in the School, "Becoming a PhD student: What does it take?".

Around 50 students attended the session, which featured presentations by Postgraduate Research Director Ian Doust and Marley Young, a recent student who is commencing a PhD at Cambridge in October. 

A/Prof Doust discussed opportunities of doing a PhD in Australia, while Marley spoke about applying for and obtaining PhD positions in the US and UK.
