UNSW Sydney will open its doors on Saturday to help potential students learn about a wide range of degree and career options, as well as scholarships and amazing opportunities to study abroad.

UNSW Open Day is one of the biggest dates on the University calendar and this year will showcase the experiences that can shape the future of all students, whatever subject they choose to study.

Around 35,000 people are expected to visit and take part in more than 300 activities happening across the Kensington and Paddington Campuses, including a flight simulator, physiology test and jewellery workshop – and to see the University’s world-class facilities in action.

By registering online and turning up on the day, attendees will also be entered into a competition to win the ultimate UNSW study prize, worth $5,000. The prize includes a Macbook Pro, $1,000 STA travel voucher, one year’s UNSW Gym membership, Beats Studio3 wireless headphones, UNSW hoodie, socks and sportswear and UNSW Bookshop, Boost Juice and Guzman Y Gomez vouchers.

UNSW Open Day Information

Student volunteers will be happy to help you at UNSW Open Day.

“We are always incredibly excited in the build-up to Open Day, the entire UNSW community bands together to showcase the UNSW experience. You can’t help but be inspired by the enthusiasm of our academics and students,” Chris Lewis, UNSW’s Head of Partnerships (Onshore) said.

“We often get asked how to approach an Open Day. We always recommend that prospective students chat with an academic in their area of interest at our Advisory Centre and sit in on a few mini-lectures to find out more about the courses on their shortlist.

“They can also explore our faculties and facilities, there are lots of great hands-on experiences that you can check out on the day.

“Plus, we have student ambassadors from every course working on the day – look out for them in bright yellow shirts – who will be delighted to chat about their experiences at UNSW.”

Potential students will also be able to talk to current staff about scholarships, exchange programs, career development, accommodation, student clubs and much, much more.

There is so much to see and do that there’s even a UNSW Open Day app that can be downloaded to make sure all visitors have a successful, informative and fun day.
