UNSW Swim Club excel at Short Course State Championships
The UNSW Swim Club was outstanding at the NSW Short Course Championships this year, winning a total of 36 medals across the Junior and Senior championship events, the best ever result for the club.

The UNSW Swim Club are now ranked third in NSW.
At the Junior State Championships, the UNSW team walked away with five gold, six silver and three bronze medals, as well as 20 swimmers placing in the top 10 of their events. 79% of swims were personal bests at the event.
Not to be outdone, the senior members of the club stepped it up, coming away with seven gold, 10 silver and five bronze medals, 31 swimmers placing in the top 10 and 54% of swims were personal bests.

Following these championships, a total point score is tallied to rank all swim clubs in NSW. The UNSW club was ranked third in the state - their highest ever finish.
UNSW Swim Club's Head Coach Bruce Vyvyan was selected as the NSW Coach following the events, while Assistant Coach Rebecca Wheatley was chosen to lead the NSW Open Water team.
