This week we're looking at the responses from our UNSW elite athletes' clubs and organisations during this lockdown period. Today we have this story about Athletics Australia's new online program, which will assist a number of our EAP members, including Georgia Winkcup, Jess Thornton, John Gikas and Susie Douglas.

Georgia Winkcup

Welcome to The Stadium!

Athletics Australia have developed a central hub for the athletics community to ensure we keep moving, stay engaged, keep safe, keep fit and stay healthy during this period of unique and unprecedented lockdown throughout Australia, and indeed the world.

The content, which will appear on both the Athletics Australia website and across the Athletics Australia social media channels, is divided into three key themes: Keep Safe, Keep Fit and Stay Healthy. This site will sit alongside the existing Coronavirus information hub; The Stadium COVID-19.

Keep Safe is an area where you will find information from leading Australian athletes, including highlights from the 2020 Summer Super Series and videos from the athletics community using #athstogether. And information about Athletics Australia Community Running Group.

Keep Fit is an area where you will find personal updates from Australia's best track & field athletes and coaches.

The Stay Healthy area is a space where you will find information from our major partner Coles Supermarkets and the Athletics Australia Health and Nutrition Team about healthy eating habits. Here you will also find the weekly Q&A sessions with some of Australia’s leading sports professionals.

The content will evolve over time and will draw in advice from our athletes and coaches, our key partners and the athletics community at large. It’s an area where we can all come to obtain advice and support each other so that we all Keep Fit, Keep Safe and Keep Healthy.
