Physics graduate awarded the UNSW 2020 Alumni Award for Research Achievement

Congratulations to Professor Tamara Davis, who has been awarded the UNSW 2020 Alumni Award for Research Achievement.
Tamara graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Advanced Science and Bachelor of Arts, followed by a PhD in theoretical cosmology and black holes. She is currently working as a Professor and Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow at the University of Queensland.

In addition, Tamara was recently appointed as a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia (General Division), recognised for significant service to astrophysical science, to education, and to young astronomers.
