The Rob McLean Awards in Executive Education to fund 15 AGSM Virtual Learning programs

Applications are now open for the new AGSM Rob McLean Awards in Executive Education. The Award will support 15 leaders from the not-for-profit sector with scholarships to complete an AGSM Virtual Learning Short Course through AGSM Executive Education.

Successful applicants will select from courses including leading change, resilience, data strategy, negotiation, and operational risk.

The Award is funded by supporters of AGSM in recognition of Professor Robert McLean AM who was Dean of the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) from 2003 to 2006 and his commitment to the for-purpose sector.

"I see enormous value in executive education in the non profit sector where it has led to new enterprises like Social Ventures Australia or critical reskilling for a digital era,” said Professor Robert McLean.

AGSM introduced a suite of Virtual Learning Short Courses in April 2020 to support leaders and organisations seeking professional development that would help them navigate the complexities of working in an unpredictable, and increasingly virtual, environment.

"In the current environment, leaders must remain committed to delivering value for their organisations," said Magnus Gittins, Director AGSM Executive Education.

"To support leaders and organisations in navigating these challenges, AGSM introduced a suite of Virtual Learning Short Courses in leadership, management, digital transformation, strategy and change," he said.

"AGSM recognises the need for learning that is designed to allow leaders to quickly gain confidence and capability in the critical skills required to lead in today’s accelerating world."

Each Virtual Learning Short Course runs for approximately 14 hours over a two-week period. Participants take part in live virtual workshops, action learning, and coaching designed to deliver immediate, measurable, and enduring outcomes.

Successful sponsorship applicants will receive a digital badge micro credential and points towards their AGSM Certificate of Executive Management and Development, a recognition of their commitment to lifelong learning, articulating towards select AGSM MBA Programs.

Please apply via this link. Applications close at 5 pm on Friday, 13 November 2020.
