Every year AGSM @ UNSW Business School recognises the achievements of the top-performing MBA students from the graduating class with a number of academic and community awards.

This year AGSM recognises the accomplishments of the graduating 2020 MBA class.

Sudeshna Singh and William Hughes are the 2020 recipients of the 2020 AGSM Baume et Mercier Academic Award which is presented to the top female and top male student from the AGSM Full-Time MBA class for academic excellence across their core courses.

Baume et Mercier have sponsored this award for the past five years and presented the recipients with engraved Classima watch.

"Receiving the Baume et Mercier MBA Excellence Award is an honour. It’s a symbol of the long nights of hard work, the unflinching support of my cohort during group assignments and efforts from my professors to ensure I kept learning," said Sudeshna

"Time is transient and my AGSM MBA journey may have ended but each time I look at the Baume et Mercier prize watch, I will cherish the moments behind it and wear it well. Thank you so much to AGSM and Baume et Mercier for this recognition," she said.

William stated, “I am truly grateful and humbled to be recognised by the AGSM and Baume et Mercier with this prize. Embarking on the MBA felt like such a momentous and intimidating step in my career, but now having completed it, I have never felt so confident in who I want to be professionally and the direction of my career.”

“This Baume et Mercier watch will be a constant reminder of the most enjoyable and rewarding 16 months in my professional experience, and that if I work hard and with an open mind and humility, I never have to put limits to the goals I set myself,” he said.

Both Sudeshna and William also acknowledge the consistent support and camaraderie from their entire MBA cohort and incredible AGSM team who have made the past 16 months so rewarding.
