WOMEN'S CRICKET

A bit of a miserable return from the bye round for first grade - after winning the toss and choosing to bat, things went downhill quite quickly with opener Erica James dismissed for a duck in the first over. Zoe Benjamin (13) and Frankie Nicklin (17) held on a bit longer, but weren't able to up the scoring rate. Claire Brown (20) and Samantha Robinson (20) made a late charge, but Universities concluded their innings at 7/97. In reply, Cambelltown-Camden didn't lose a wicket on their way to amassing the total in less than 15 overs to take the game. Madeline Case (0/16) was economical, but none of the bowlers were able to break through and take a wicket.

MEN'S CRICKET

Halfway through a two day game for our men's cricketers this week and first grade have a battle on their hands after Sydney put on a massive total on 399 and took a UNSW wicket to finish the day off. Chris Tremain (3/92) was the pick of the bowlers, supported by Thomas Scoble (2/23) and Hayden McLean (2/59). Suffan Hassan and Hayden McLean will resume with the bat this weekend and look to dig UNSW out of some trouble.

GRIDIRON

A heavy loss for the Raiders men this week, who were unable to match it with their Sydney Uni archrivals on this occasion. Meanwhile the Raiders women enjoyed a bye and will take on Sydney Uni this weekend.
