Another wet weekend saw plenty of washouts and some games played in wild weather - let's see who managed to get a game completed as we go around the grounds.

WOMEN'S CRICKET

No play at all for first grade this week - they were hoping for a strong battle with the St George-Sutherland Slayers, but the rain had other ideas and the match was abandoned without a ball bowled. Second grade was also a wash out - only third grade managed to get a game in, but were unfortunately defeated by Gordon, despite strong batting from Susan Farrar (23) and bowling from Danielle Seagrave (1/4)

MEN'S CRICKET

Our men's teams were also taking on St George this weekend, but unfortunately first grade was abandoned at the beautiful Hurstville Oval ground as a storm blew in during the afternoon. UNSW had restricted St George to 4/156, with four different bowlers sharing the wickets during that innings. Declan White had the most impressive figures with 1/11 from his four overs. In reply, Jack Attenborough (17) and Suffan Hassan (25) got off to a great start before the storm ended the game prematurely.

GRIDIRON

Not quite as huge a win for our Raiders women as their first two games of the season, but again they held their opponents to nil - so far no team has managed to score a single point against them in 2020, such is their dominance in this competition as they defend their premiership. In the men's competition, the Raiders suffered their second consecutive defeat, going down to the UTS Gators - they'll be looking for a strong performance to bounce back this weekend against the Nepean Ducks.
