Sydney, NSW: AGSM @ UNSW Business School part-time MBA Executive has again ranked among the world’s top Executive MBA programs in the global QS 2021 EMBA Rankings released today.
Overall, AGSM ranked 36th globally – up five places from 41st last year - and 9th in Asia Pacific in the rankings. The QS rankings assessed key performance metrics of 176 global Executive MBA programs. The result puts the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) in the top 20% globally.
“This year’s QS rankings show that AGSM's MBA Executive program, with its internationally recognised faculty and employer reputation, is one of the most relevant programs in the world for ambitious leaders who want to make an impact in their organisations and communities,” said Professor Nick Wailes, AGSM Director and Deputy Dean UNSW Business School.
“Our classes are adaptive and experiential and students are immersed in active learning experiences and exposed to practical skills and tools they can immediately apply to real business problems.”
The QS Global EMBA Rankings consider five key performance indicators: Career Outcomes, Diversity, Employer Reputation, Executive Profile, and Thought Leadership. AGSM ranked 25th in Thought Leadership with an earned score of 76.3 out of 100 – nearly 30 points ahead of the global average.
“Thought leadership and career outcomes are areas in which our academics and students are excelling,” said Professor Wailes. “Importance is placed, not just on enhancing career prospects and management skills, but being prepared for a changing world,” he said.
“In its 25-plus year history, the AGSM MBAE has been continuously improved to ensure the curriculum evolves to address business’s changing needs.”

As well as Thought Leadership, AGSM scored 79.9 for Career Outcomes, which is greater than the global average of 60.7 and the Asia-Pacific average of 61.3. AGSM received a score of 58 for Employer Reputation, which is more than the global mean of 49.4 and more than the Asia Pacific score of 47.4.
AGSM also received a score of 66.6 for diversity, which is more than the global mean of 56 and more than the Asia Pacific score of 55.7.
This is the fifth year that QS has released a global ranking for Executive MBA programs and includes data collected from schools, students, academics, and employers. A total of 48 countries. 28,149 employers and 34,791 academics were surveyed globally for the 2021 QS EMBA Rankings.
