AGSM ranked in the top 50 in the QS 2021 MBA by Career Specialisation Rankings published earlier this week.

The rankings analyse responses from over 37,000 global employers, combined with analysis of millions of research publications across the relevant categories and a deep dive into career placement statistics. Overall scores are calculated looking at Career Placements, Employer Reputation and Research Outcomes.

AGSM ranked highest in Consulting (33), Entrepreneurship (33), Information Management (33) and Marketing (37) and in the top 100 for Finance, Technology and Operations Management.

Career Placements is represented by a score that combines insights on the percent of graduates from an MBA program going into a relevant industry, function or starting their own business. This is balanced by an absolute placement score, which balances class size against the proportional outcome statistics.

“Roughly 50% of our Full-Time MBA cohort accept roles in consulting firms or consulting/strategy roles in industry upon graduating,” said Courtney Wright, Director, Career Accelerator at AGSM. “We have a strong industry reputation and run an annual Consulting Week series of recruitment events with over 30 employers attending each year.”

“AGSM has a stellar reputation in Australia and the APAC region, Wright said. “Our 17,000+ global alumni network, and our employer partners, return to engage with our students and recruit from us year on year.”
