UNSW sustainability researcher and leader of the Sustainability Assessment Program Prof Tommy Wiedmann recently presented at a successful event organised by the Australian Circular Economy Hub (ACE Hub).
Circular Economy Solutions for a Changing Climate was held on 26 October, attracting hundreds of participants. During the event, Prof Wiedmann and other experts discussed the latest circular economy and climate research, key drivers of change for governments and their hopes for this year's COP26 conference
The panellists, which also included Lisa McLean, CEO of NSW Circular and Jelmer Hoogzaad, Founder of Shifting Paradigms and lead author of the 2021 Circularity Gap Report, are fighting to get circular principles on the agenda in the climate change debate.
Event organiser Planet Ark said, “For ACE Hub’s first evening event, hitting almost 400 registrations, as well as a really engaged live audience, it was one of our most successful events.”
The recording of the event is now available on YouTube.
