The Pacific Roadmap for Economic Development (PRED)(formerly the Blue Pacific Economic Strategy) was approved by the Forum Economic Ministers' Meeting in August 2022, as part of the 2050 Blue Pacific Strategy. This Policy Brief proposes an annotated outline for the implementation of the PRED, with a focus on the measurement, assessment, and valuation of ecosystem goods and services. Commissioned by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, this Brief is intended to provide insight into the sustainable management of Pacific natural and human resources, and to optimize economic wealth.
