Professor Paul Timpson, head of the Invasion and Metastasis Lab, Associate Professor Thomas Cox alongside his colleague, Dr Brooke Pereira, have secured funding to advance the treatment of pancreatic cancer using a combination of an innovative antibody therapy and chemotherapy drugs.

Using advanced imaging and biosensor techniques, the team will watch the effectiveness of treatments against pancreatic cancer in real-time.

This research will involve collaborating with international partners in the aim to develop a new antibody, potentially enhancing the tumour’s responsiveness to treatment, thereby expediting the translation of their research into practical, real-world applications.
