On October 22nd, Tyree IHealthE celebrated the opening of its state-of-the-art facilities in the UNSW Integrated Acute Services Building (IASB). The event was a significant milestone, marked by the unveiling of a donor plaque honouring Sir William Tyree, whose vision and generosity have profoundly shaped health innovation at UNSW.

The evening was hosted by Professor Julien Epps, Dean of Engineering, and Professor Cheryl Jones, Dean of Medicine & Health, who welcomed attendees and highlighted the exciting opportunities for collaboration between the two faculties. Members of the Sir William Tyree Foundation Board, and guests, toured the innovative spaces, designed to bridge hospital and university efforts in advancing healthcare.

The occasion underscored over 50 years of partnership between the Tyree Foundation and UNSW, celebrating their shared mission to drive progress through collaboration. Guests gained insights into how the Foundation’s enduring support strengthens the connection between research and clinical application, creating solutions that improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
