AGSM Executive MBA ranks 5th in Asia Pacific in QS 2026 global rankings

The Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) ranked 39th out of 215 EMBA programs in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) 2026 global EMBA rankings released today, placing it among the top 20 per cent globally. It ranked 5th in Asia Pacific - out of 35 other Asia Pacific programs.
“AGSM’s performance in this year’s QS EMBA rankings highlights the strength of our thought leadership and the relevance of our research and teaching in a rapidly changing global environment,” said Associate Professor Michele Roberts, Associate Dean (Post Experience) at UNSW Business School and Head of School AGSM.
“We’re proud to offer a program that combines flexibility, academic rigour and a powerful peer network,” A/Prof Roberts said. “Maintaining a top 40 global ranking in an increasingly competitive field reflects the consistent strength of our program.”
The QS global EMBA rankings consider five key performance indicator groups: Career Outcomes, Diversity, Employer Reputation, Executive Profile, and Thought Leadership. AGSM ranked highly in Thought Leadership, placing 26th with an earned score of 75.9 out of 100 – 31 points above the global average.
Thought Leadership performance indicator evaluates the perceptions of global academics on which institutions are demonstrating academic excellence.
“Our strong result in this area reflects the impact of our academic community and our focus on shaping ideas that influence business practice, policy and leadership,” said A/Prof. Roberts.
AGSM scored 72 in Career Outcomes, around 12 points above the global average. AGSM scored 65.5 for Employer Reputation, more than the global mean of 49.1 and a 3-point increase from last year.
“We continue to see strong results in career outcomes and employer reputation, which speaks to the calibre of our students and the practical value of the EMBA experience,” she said.
“That means strengthening the connection between research, practice and leadership development, so our graduates are equipped to contribute at the highest levels and shape what comes next for business and society.”
This is the tenth year that QS has released a global ranking for Executive MBA programs, which includes data collected from schools, students, academics, and employers. For the 2026 QS EMBA Rankings, 58 countries, 36,074 employers, and 39,454 academics were surveyed globally.
