The event brought together health professionals and educators from Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, Royal Hospital for Women, UNSW, Mindgardens, Tyree iHealthE, Child Unlimited and the Minderoo Children's Comprehensive Cancer Centre to showcase the remarkable diversity of careers across healthcare, research, education and innovation.

Students heard an inspiring keynote address from Professor Adrienne Torda, Deputy Dean Clinical Campuses, UNSW Medicine & Health, who spoke about the transformative impact of healthcare professionals and the many pathways available to those aspiring to make a difference in the lives of others. Her message encouraged students to think broadly about the opportunities available across the health sector and the vital role they can play in shaping the future of healthcare.

A special thank you to Zoe Kumar, Interprofessional Education Lead, RHIP, whose leadership of the event helped create a highly engaging and collaborative learning experience for the students. Together with the exceptional UNSW Medicine & Health Simulation Team and contributors from across the Randwick Health and Education precinct, Zoe coordinated a series of immersive, hands-on simulation activities and interactive workshops that gave students a realistic glimpse into clinical practice and teamwork in modern healthcare settings.

Through practical experiences, conversations with clinicians and researchers, and exposure to cutting-edge learning environments within the Health Translation Hub, students gained valuable insights into healthcare careers and educational pathways. The day demonstrated the power of collaboration across the precinct and inspired many students to imagine themselves as part of the future health workforce.

The RHIP Health Careers Day reflects the precinct's shared commitment to strengthening the pipeline of future health professionals and igniting curiosity, ambition and purpose in the next generation of healthcare leaders.
