It's all stations go as the Lowy Cancer Research Centre opens its doors for business. In the first issue of Uniken for the year, we step inside the world-class facility and find out how its 400 researchers are making a difference to the lives of adults and children with cancer.

The facility is named after prominent businessman and philanthropist Frank Lowy, whose family donated $10 million towards the cost of the building. In addition to the Lowy gift and University resources, significant funding was contributed by the NSW and federal governments.
