UN Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Cyprus Alexander Downer and Consuls General Niels Marquardt (US) and Nick McInnes (UK) will advise students on how to pursue a successful diplomatic career at a major student-led diplomacy conference in Sydney this weekend.

The University Diplomacy Conference is a two-day intensive program organised by the UNSW United Nations Society designed to introduce students from around the state to the world of diplomacy and international affairs.

Participants will hear keynote addresses by former and current Australian foreign ministers and participate in open workshops with diplomats and NGO leaders.

UNSW professor of international law and expert member of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Peoples, Megan Davis, will deliver the closing address.
