Thermo Orbitrap XL

Description
The Thermo Scientific LTQ Orbitrap XL incorporates the sensitive LTQ linear ion trap and Orbitrap mass analysers. The instrument is equipped with electrospray ionisation (ESI), atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation (APCI), static nanospray (nano-ESI), and DESI (Desorption –ESI) ionisation sources.
The LTQ Orbitrap XL is based at lower campus and is used for non-biological samples. Orbitrap mass analysers are recognised for their ability to produce ultra-high mass accuracy and resolution measurements; these performance capabilities allow mass spectrometry results to be interpreted with a significant degree of confidence.
