spectrum-3-spotlight400

Description

The Spectrum 3/Spotlight 400 is a versatile FT-IR imaging system that integrates a high-performance FTIR spectrometer with a microscope, enabling chemical imaging and analysis. It offers a wide spectral range, covering both mid- and far-infrared regions, and includes a variety of sampling accessories such as attenuated total reflectance (ATR) and transmission for comprehensive sample characterisation.

Specifications

  • This accessory facilitates rapid analysis of solids, powders, liquids and pastes in the spectral range of 7800 to 100cm-1  (1.3 µm to 100 µm).

  • Analyse thin films (less than 100 microns), powdered samples and liquids in the spectral range of 7800 to 100cm-1(1.3 µm to 100 µm).

  • The following are the capabilities of the microscope:

Measurements of transmission or reflectance point spectroscopy or mapping and ATR imaging.
Automated XYZ sample stage to enable chemical imaging using reflected or transmitted light with a maximum spatial resolution of 6.25 micron.
An ATR imaging crystal is available for fast imaging at 1.56 micron spatial resolution - ideal for biological samples, as interference from water is significantly reduced.
The instrument caters to a broad spectrum of samples, including:

    • Organic powders, liquids, and films
    • Biological sections
    • Minerals
    • Polymers
