Medicine
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality globally, and often co-exists with comorbidities which further impact health-related quality of life. Poor inhaler device technique and medication adherence is a barrier to optimal management of COPD. The PRISIMA Trial is a MRFF-sponsored clinical trial that aims to improve patients’ health outcomes by providing tailored self-management support to improve inhaler device technique and medication adherence through a mHealth application for people with COPD and comorbidities in the NSW community.
The research team is looking for a talented PhD candidate to commence on the PRISIMA Trial from Term 2 or Term 3 2025.
