This project aims to study how the wake (lift, drag, vortex shedding) behind a circular cylinder is affected due to temperature gradient between the cylinder and the ambient flow.
This will be investigated using experiments and numerical simulations in three configurations: (i) cold cylinder, (ii) hot cylinder and (iii) asymmetric/differential heating of upper and bottom surfaces of the cylinder.
